The Truth About Paris

Paris' profile picture Hello everyone. There are some things you should know about Paris. Paris isn't who you might think he is. First of all, Paris lies. A lot. If you can't trust the leader of a community to tell you the truth, what can you trust him to do?

I'll start by telling you exactly who Paris is. You might think he is a Chinese man who works for Gold4RS named Wang Can. He even made a fake facebook profile (which is obviously fake; note only 14 friends). Despite what most of you probably think, Paris is not relatively new to the powerbot/rsbot scene. He was previously known by several other aliases, most notably ins3. For those of you who don't know, ins3 was the RSBot systems administrator back when Quaters was in charge. That is how he originally gained control of RSBot. Additionally, Paris isn't even Chinese as most of you seem to think. He is English. I actually happen to have this link to his facebook profile.

Having established Paris a liar, ask yourself this question: "How many of Paris' original Powerbot administrators are still there?" You will find the answer to be ZERO. This is because eventually, they all realize that Paris is an immoral person and generally not a good person to work with.

So if Paris lied about his alias and ethnicity, what else would he lie to you about? He lied about Arbiter being the one who did the mass-hacking. He blamed the entire thing on Jacmob and Arbiter's new website "rsbuddy". Paris knows how talented Jacmob is, and he knew that he would be able to develop a superior bot. Naturally, in the tight-comptetition world of runescape botting, he wanted to prevent current powerbot users from switching to rsbuddy.

He then replaced Jacmob with a number of other developers, all of whom he claimed to be superior in programming ability. The current developer is Timer. Milan was also recently given a developer position. He also recently resigned from that position. Also, Paris made the rsbot client maliciously edit the hosts file of anyone who ran it to block them from visiting RSBuddy. Not only is this a shady way of preventing powerbot users from switching to the competition, it is illegal!

Timer lacks knowledge of bytecode injectionAs for the quality of the powerbot itself, it is inferior to rsbuddy and will probably eventually get you banned. Powerbot's primary contributer, Timer, admitted lacking substantial knowledge about how the current bot works (click the image to the left). For that reason, Timer is considering switching the bot to use reflection instead of bytecode injection. Although much slower (several hundred times slower), reflection is "easier" than bytecode injection.

Anyhow, back to the topic of Paris. He also is blaming rsbuddy for the DDoSing of powerbot. The DDoSing is actually being performed by a number of "hacker forums" who find it amusing to test their DDoS shells on powerbot. Paris admitted he was guilty of the DDoSing of rsbuddy via skype with pandaman. You can listen to this conversation by watching the video linked to the right.

Paris is afraid of the truth. That's why anytime someone posts the truth, they end up banned from powerbot and the post is removed in order to hide the truth. For example, Speed was IP banned after the making the post you see the the left in the random section... I thought Paris said you could flame staff all you wanted in random...? Also, the fact that it was an IP ban is evidence that Paris wanted it to look like Speed wasn't banned in order to keep it from looking like Speed was getting banned for what he posted.

Shortly after Speed's ban, both LemonDrop and Parameter posted an image of Speed's original post. Both posts were deleted and Parameter's account was banned as you can see to the right. The "reason" was for leaking information. After logging into powerbot with a proxy, Speed started this thread. Paris then asked for someone to ban him because "mod cp doesn't work on ipads". Basically Speed was banned for speaking the truth in a section where the rules permit him to do so.

As I said, this implies that Paris is afraid of the truth about him getting out to the powerbot community. Paris will get what he deserves in the end. Automation Software Ltd. (RSBuddy) has pledged to take legal action against Paris. In conclusion, those of you who use powerbot should cease to do so because you are giving a deceitful, lying man money and power. Also, the bot itself is not up to par with the competition and the developers have nowhere near the skill of the old development team. For all of these reasons you should terminate your use of Powerbot and switch to other bots until Paris changes his ways or is replaced by someone who is more honest to his own community.
