LOIC SETUP GUIDE

HIVEMIND mode will connect your client to an IRC server so it can be controlled
remotely. Think of it like a voluntary botnet. They might even make your client
do naughty things, so beware.
HIVEMIND is NOT currently In use fire manually

Note: It does NOT allow remote administration of your machine, or anything
like that, it is just control of LOIC itself.


Windows

XP users get the Half-Open connections fix

  1. Download MS .NET Framework 3.5 and install it.
  2. Download Hivemind LOIC and unzip it to your desktop.
  3. Start LOIC with the LOIC.EXE
  4. Launch JavaLOIC
  5. Enter Target URL or IP and click LOCK ON
  6. join #setup or #OpTunisia on IRC for target info and settings (TCP and rest on default is usually best)

NO HIVE MIND ATM FIRE MANUALLY


MAC/Linux

JavaLOIC for MAC (no hivemind feature): Download

  • Launch JavaLOIC
  • Enter Target URL or IP and click LOCK ON
  • join #setup or #OpTunisia on IRC for target info and settings (TCP and rest on default is usually best)

With HiveMind feature (Mono or Wine):


Install script for Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora: View
 Run the script from terminal.

 

Settings:

  • Launch JavaLOIC
  • Enter Target URL or IP and click LOCK ON
  • join #setup or #optunisia on IRC for target info and settings (TCP and rest on default is usually best)

 

Go through the above steps 2-3 times if you can't get it working.
If you still can't fix it; Join #Setup for Win/Nix or #nubbintank for MACs, and ask.

FAQ

  • Is LOIC infected with a virus? NO, your AV gives a false positive. Disable your AV. The source code is included in the download to prove this.
  • Will I get caught/arrested for using it? Chances are next to zero. Just blame you have a virus, or simply deny any knowledge of it.
  • Can I use a PROXY? NO, you will just attack the proxy. But a VPN is OK.
  • LOIC cant connect; Turn off MSE or your Firewall. Still no go; On IRC, type /map and choose a different server.
  • Requests stuck? Target is down, KEEP FIRING TO KEEP IT DOWN
  • Who/What is the target; Join #setup or #Optunisia on IRC and ask.
  • What settings should I use? Join #Setup or leave it at default w/ TCP. Protip: Dont go over 100 threads.

Remove Join/Leave messages in IRC client: /set irc_conf_mode 1


To get on IRC:

GET THE ANONOPS MIRC CLIENT (windows) HERE. It will automatically connect you to IRC and join the channels.

  • Unzip it to your desktop
  • Start with the mIRC shortcut
  • Choose a name
  • Click to connect!
