How Evolution Works

There is a common misconception that evolution by means of natural selection is a random process ...

Darwin was not wrong, Creationists are:

• Natural selection is not a random process; genes mutate randomly simply because, unlike a computer, they cannot copy every bit correctly.
• Random mutations can be beneficial or not to the life form in question, natural selection has no will.
• What survives is not random, what survives is the gene pools able to reproduce.

Logic should lead you to conclude that mutations that are beneficial are of course going to survive, because those gene pools with useful mutations are a better candidate for reproduction: they are naturally selected.
